Common Armhole Fitting Issues Instant Access Class
$49.00
A lot of people are eager to start fitting a bodice and sleeve pattern because so many garment options open up when you have a master pattern that fits. For example, blouses, shirts, dresses, and jackets become much more accessible.
One of the key areas that is often under-appreciated when it comes to fitting both bodices and sleeves is the armhole. Armhole fitting issues show up in a way that often make people think that there are serious bodice fitting issues. But when we fit the armhole many of those draglines resolve.
It’s important to have a well-fitting bodice and armhole prior to starting to fit your sleeve, since the two work together so closely. And the first step is getting the garment armhole to reflect your body.
In this class, I discuss the most common armhole fitting issues I see people encounter, and I show you how to resolve them. I also discuss a few other relevant topics, such as shoulder seam placement and my approach to fitting sleeves.
